1. Liaison Officer: Yui Harayama

Hi everyone I am Yui, your newly elected LO.
First and foremost, I want to thank you for your support! Although 2020/2021 did not exactly match our expectations, we learnt and grew through these chaotic times. As Singapore is progressively re-opening and the UK is hopefully getting back on track for its
roadmap to lift restrictions, some events are likely to be held in-person. (yey!) Through this opportunity given to be your LO, I will ensure the smooth dissemination of accurate information and capture ICSS' exciting moments and memories to cherish.
I still have plenty to learn from the 38th and the previous LOs but I can promise you that I will do my best. Cheers to Yee Lin as well for providing me advice and guidance!
Aside from my studies, I have recently bought a monthly pass for a climbing gym and am spending my free time attempting to stick to walls.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for any feedback or questions and have a great summer!

2. Sports Officer: Keziah Chang

Hi everyone! I’m Keziah, your new Sports Officer, a self-employed couch potato (mostly thanks to COVID-19), mediocre badminton player and board games enthusiast. Thank you for your support so far and I look forward to ensuring this coming year is filled with
exciting and relaxing sports activities!
As vaccinations are being rolled out and COVID-19 restrictions relaxed in London, I’m optimistic that more sports gatherings can be held. Whether you’re an avid player or just testing the waters, all are welcome to play, bond and sweat together, all at a subsidised
price (because we all know Singaporeans love discounts). However, we all need to be cautious of our gradual return to a “life before COVID”. As such I seek your understanding and cooperation as we put our health and safety first to make sure each event adheres
to current regulations.
I’m still learning to adjust to my role and am always open to any new ideas or suggestions. If you have a new activity in mind or any burning questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at
sportsofficer@ic-singsoc.net.
As the saying goes “Where there is a will, there is a way”, if you have a great passion for a new sport, I will do my best to make it into reality.
PS if you want to know how to pronounce my name, it’s kay-zee-uh. I’m not too fussed about this though
😁, just try not to call me Kesha (as my art teacher
did), as I claim no likeness to the pop star of the same name.

Reduction in Length of Stay-Home Notice (SHN)
From 24 June 2021 (Thursday), new travellers arriving in Singapore from high-risk countries/regions have been placed
on a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at SHN Dedicated Facilities (SDFs), down from the previous 21-day SHN.
"High-risk" refers all countries/regions except Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macao, China, and New Zealand.
In addition to COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests on arrival and on day 14 (before the end of SHN), travellers are also required to take an antigen rapid test (ART) using self-test kits, collected upon reaching their SDFs,
on days 3, 7, and 11.
Travellers, who have spent the last 21 days in Taiwan and Israel prior to arrival, have been able to apply, before arrival, to serve their 14-day SHN
at their place of residence, and not at a dedicated facility.
This is provided they only reside alone, with family members, or with people with the same travel history and serving SHNs of the same duration.
