P.S. Today is David Beckham's birthday! Beckham is named by FIFA as one of the greatest living football players in the world, and despite having retired from football, he is still one of the most recognisable athletes and fashion icons today.

"I just want people to see me as a hardworking footballer, someone that's passionate about the game, someone that – every time I stepped on the pitch – I've given everything that I have, because that's how I feel. That's how I look back on it and hope people will see me."

1. Kit Kat

Hello to all,

It’s your enthusiastic sports officer once again! Kit Kat was held last Saturday on 23 Jun 2016 at Hyde Park, and a big thank you to all who took time off their busy schedule to come down! I sincerely hope everyone had an enjoyable time at the picnic, whether you were playing sports or simply chatting with friends and munching on the snacks provided, and managed to take a breather from your exam preparations.

In the midst of our hectic exam preparations, I hope this simple event has allowed Singsoc members to share a laugh with their friends, work out a sweat, and simply have a good time with one another.

Thank you very much for your invaluable support :D

Your enthusiastic Sports Officer,
Jing Jie

6. Retrospect 2016

HI EVERYONE!

We are taking orders for RETROSPECT 2016!

RETROSPECT is Imperial College Singapore Society's triennially-published yearbook and captures the memories of our Society for the past three years, as well as the stories of our fellow Singaporeans in Imperial College.

RETROSPECT 2016 will be in the form of a hard-cover book, with a mix of pictures and write-ups bound to have you flipping the pages over and over to relive the past! This book is a must-get, especially if you will be graduating soon, as the next edtion will be in 2019...

Furthermore, we have managed to secure a significant amount of sponsorship for this project (YAY!!), we have managed to reduce the price of the book to £10 (really worth it - a hard copy coffee table book!) and you can purchase the book HERE. Do secure your copy before SFP as limited stocks are available!

To get a preview of what to expect inside the book, do visit our Facebook Page where we will be showcasing previews of our book in the countdown to our release date!

The release date and collection of RETROSPECT 2016 will be at the Singsoc Farewell Party (SFP) on 20th May 2016!

So what are you waiting for? Grab them before they run out!

Ivan
