1. UKBound 2011: Lavish - Crowd Games

Ladies and gentlemen, if Sojourn wasn't enough fun and excitement for you, then fret not: Lavish is right around the corner!

(Credits to Melissa Ng for the beautiful logo!)

This year, we'll be having a beauty pageant, a talent showcase, and crowd games, which is where you come in! We're looking for people to help us come up with ideas on what sort of crowd games to have on the night of UKBound itself, so if you've any suggestions, ideas, opinions, proposals, recommendations, tips, or epiphanies, step right up!

Email Fong at eventsofficer1@ic-singsoc.net, or, if you feel more comfortable talking to one of the better-looking members, any one else in the Exco if you have any ideas for us!

3. ICSS Sports - Touch Rugby Session (13 Aug 2011)

Here's a message from our Sports rep, Jin Yi:

When
was the last time you had a game of touch rugby or have always wanted to put on your limited edition T90 soccer boots but never got the chance to?

Well, this short 2 hours touch rugby session is organized just for you!

Date: 13th August, Saturday
Time: 1000 - 1200 h
Venue: West Coast Park

ALL NEW OR EXPERIENCED touch rugby players are welcomed to join us in this event, where you will get a feel of the game, get together with your friends in Singapore or even have a quick workout session after a long week of work or internships.

For those people new to the game, touch rugby was originally 'derived from rugby football in which players do not tackle in the traditional, highly physical way, but instead touch their opponents using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball.' -wikipedia.

So don't worry
too much about the physical aspect of the sport as you won't be leaving the field with a broken nose but instead with a smile on your face. (Just look at how much fun these kids are having!)

More details on the how the game is played can be assessed at http://bit.ly/mQ9jFO
