Dear Members, For more than a decade, Imperial College Singapore Society has harboured a deeply held tradition of hosting our annual, original, one-night-only musical production, Major Event. This year’s production, Major Event 2022: Supernormal The Musical, will be no different in being an unforgettable night of stunning performances by our Cast, Music, Dance, and Chorale Teams, anchored by an original story, carried by multiple self-composed musical numbers, and supported by our Props & Backstage, Publicity & Media, and Lights & Sound Teams. Yet, each superpower, no matter how niche or seemingly lame, has its own benefits and impact on each life. This is a story about Nicole, who discovers she can step out of reality after an argument during dinner with her 3 friends, Jack, Klaire & Larry. Nicole learns that an organisation of people with the same ability as her, who call themselves Observers, exists to help those hindered in life by their own powers. Nicole leaves her life behind to learn the ways of the Observers for the next 7 years with her Observer mentor, H. One day, when Nicole is assigned to help Jack as her latest case, she has to revisit her past and reunite with her friends, each with their own abilities and problems.
