Digest
Hey everyone!
Hope you're all doing great, we are already halfway through the first term and winter break is on the horizon! However, as winter comes, the weather is getting colder, so please take care and start adding layers to your clothes!
Our Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) for AY15/16 and the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) recently concluded, where we reviewed the past events organised and gave members a sneak peek of what is to come. We also elected our new Treasurer, Chee Wei Jie, a year 2 Physics student, and are very glad to have him on board.
The Nottingham Winter Games also concluded yesterday. Kudos to all those who won prizes! We would like to thank everyone who represented Team Imperial, and we hope that you had fun in Nottingham!
For the lucky 40 who got tickets to our Musical Outing for Les Misérables, please meet Wei Yan at 7 pm on 18 Nov 2015 (Wed) outside Queen's Theatre to collect your tickets, as the show will start at 7.30 pm sharp.
Finally, the Hall Cookout will be coming soon! It will lead up to the Christmas Party, so get ready to try out some Christmas recipes! The respective POCs will contact you to set a date, so just start thinking of your recipes in the meantime. Seniors, do contact the POCs if you want to join the freshers!
Your caring Secretary,
Ben Chin (:

1. OGM & EGM
Dear Everyone,
We concluded our annual Ordinary General Meeting and the Extraordinary General Meeting on 11 Nov 2015. In the OGM, we reviewed the past events organised and shared with our members the exciting upcoming events lined up for the society. In the by-elections during EGM, we are pleased to announce that Chee Wei Jie, a Year 2 Physics student, has been elected as the new Treasurer for the 33rd Executive Committee.
To the members who came down specially to attend the general meetings, I would like to say your support meant the world to us, and we deeply appreciate it! To those who didn’t manage to turn up for the general meetings, you were painfully missed. Do keep yourself updated with our activities via the Kaya and Toast Times and our Facebook page! To all reading this, I hope that you can continue to trust that the 33rd Executive Committee has been and will always try our best to build that home away from home specially for you. With our new treasurer, the 33rds will grow stronger to achieve that aim. The home now may not be perfect, but it is where those who matter will give you their support, where the things we do will bring a smile to your face, and where the Singaporean spirit will always be burning strong to keep you warm.
We are receptive to any feedback that you have for us to improve for the better, so for those who would like to leave comments about anything under the sun, you may direct them to Ivan Tee, our Liaison Officer, at admin@ic-singsoc.net, and we will reply to them as soon as we can.
For members who have yet to collect your membership cards, do email Ben Ng at vicepresident@ic-singsoc.net to arrange for collection.
Thank you once again for your support, and we hope to see you at the upcoming Christmas Party in early December! Stay tuned for more details to be released soon!
Your Sincere President,
Wan Qing
