Heya people!

I hope everyone is doing well with your exams! I understand that some of the easier courses have already finished their examinations and that people are already out partying, but sadly the tough courses like Biology ain't done yet. The price we pay for being the best.

Thanks to everyone's support, SingSoc Farewell Party 2018 was a raving success! Check out the post below for all the photos and videos of the event.

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for. The dream team is complete. I can finally say the full committee is present when I'm making my meeting minutes. A huge congratulations to Nat for becoming the 36th Major Event Officer! Do read his self-introduction below!

With the summer break fast approaching, we know that everyone will be busy preparing for the end of the academic year. Not to worries, for we are here to help! The Summer Support we have prepared for you will make your lives a whole lot easier!

1. Post-SFP

Hey there! The 36th Executive Committee wishes to thank everyone who came down to SingSoc Farewell Party 2018! We hope that you enjoyed yourself at the party, whether as a graduating senior or as a humble junior. We especially want to thank the graduating seniors, not only for your support for this event, but also for all the incredible memories as an ICSS family!

2. Introduction by the 36th Major Event Officer

Hello readers of K&T!

I hope both of you are holding up well in this stressful period of exams.

There are many people I wish to thank for this opportunity, and even more I would like to blame. I have written them down in a list somewhere but it is too long to share. Needless to say you (yes, you) are on it.

Jokes aside, I would truly like to thank those who took the time out of their busy exam schedules to make their voice heard. For those who did not, thank you for not voting for RON.

There’s isn’t much I have to say that hasn’t been said in my manifesto or video, but it is truly an honour to be able to serve the Society and to realise next year’s Major Event. While I am sure many of you feel as apprehensive as I do, I hope at least some of you also feel excited as I am for it.

I'm sure we've all had memorable times in our halls but in less than a month, it's time to move out! With ICSS's Summer Support, you won't have any trouble! To ease your panic over storage and moving, we've partnered with companies to offer you discounts on their services*.

Student Storage Box:

ICSS is partnering with Student Storage Box to provide a 5% discount for moving and storage services. Simply head over to this link HERE. That's not all! Regardless of whether you use their services, they're offering FREE BOXES which can be delivered right to your doorstep to help you pack all the barang barang you have. The offer has no end date, but there is a limit to the number of boxes we give away each month, so head over to this link HERE now!

Quick Man and Van:

We've also partnered with Quick Man and Van Removal Services to provide a 15% (5% ICSS + 10% student) discount for moving and removal services. Just head to the link HERE and key in your Imperial College CID number to have the discount applied! This coupon discount is valid till 1st July 2018. Do note that not all drivers accept the 10% student discount or 5% ICSS discount (or both) and sometimes the discount can be lower if you do the math. However, the system shows the best solution for the job parameters you specify.

As for those of you who are staying in London in the Summer, the Singapore High Commission is holding a National Day Reception at the Queen's Tower Room with the theme being "Smart Cities" on the evening of the 10th July.

As part of the reception, they normally engage a small band / musical group to perform background music, and they would like to offer this opportunity to Imperial students! You can expect to do roughly two 45 minute slots on the night itself.
