Updates

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all enjoying your summer break thus far, whether or not you are back in sunny Singapore! This summer break will be once again important especially to the freshers coming in this year; do look out for the many activities we have lined up - many of which you can participate in as well!

Also, we are very proud to announce our academic representatives and sports representatives for year 2013-2014. To all our representatives, thank you so much!

Your faithful secretary,
Siming

1. Summer Events Overview

This is an overview of the various events that will take place this summer:

1. Pre-Departure Talk (13 July)
The annual pre-departure talk organised for the freshers will take place on 13 July, 7pm-10pm at the Treasury.
This is a friendly reminder for all academic representatives to be present at the talk, so that you can answer the freshers' queries if any.

2. Team Sojourn Briefing (13 July)
A briefing for all members of Team Sojourn will be conducted on 13 July, 3pm-5pm at the Treasury.
This is (also) a friendly reminder to everyone in Team Sojourn to be present at this very important meeting!

3. Sojourn (16-18 Aug)
The most exciting camp every year for both the freshers and the friendly seniors!
Once again, Sojourn this year will be held at Sentosa.

4. Warwick Summer Games (31 Aug)
Warwick Summer Games will be held on 31 August this year.
To all the respective sports teams... time to start training! :D

5. UKBound (7 Sept)
Of course, not forgetting UKBound, held this year on 7 September at Zouk as usual.
Do come down to join us for a night of babe and hunk watching! (and.... after party?)

6. Pick-up and Hall Walkabout (28 Sept)
The London pick-up service for the freshers will be on 28 September, 8.30am at Heathrow Terminal 3.
Following which, the freshers will be sent to their halls where they can put their luggage down.
Then, the freshers will be brought around their halls and the college by the friendly seniors (you!).
The timing for the walkabout is not confirmed yet as it is dependent on what time the freshers reach their halls, but it is tentatively set to be about 1pm (you can eat lunch with the freshers if you want!)

To those who are interested in joining the Hall Walkabout and bringing your juniors around - your help is greatly appreciated!
Please email Siming at secretary@ic-singsoc.net (or simply reply to this email), stating your name, UK contact number and what hall you are from.

As you can see, we have a very exciting summer coming up :D If you would like to help out in any way, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Exco members!
