Happy Chinese New Year!! It is truly an auspicious and exciting season, and although there are no holidays and we may be drowned in work, I still hope that the CNY spirit is with you! I know we are all very far from home and will definitely miss the festivities, but I hope you have been celebrating and feasting with friends - after all, your friends are your family here (:
If you haven't been feasting enough, fret not - CNY Dinner will take place tomorrow, 15 Feb 2016 (Mon), 7 pm at New World Restaurant. If you have signed up, don't forget to turn up with an empty stomach! There will be a 9-course dinner complete with yusheng, lucky draw and karaoke!
Major Event will be happening on 27 Feb 2016 (Sat), 7 pm at the Great Hall! Many ICSS members are involved in this in one way or another, and we have all been working hard to put up a show that will not disappoint! In fact, the entire crew is gathered today and working hard at a rehearsal! What are you waiting for, get your tickets online HERE for £10 only!
Finally, we are sorry to inform that interest for the Day Trip to Portsmouth was not sufficient for us to proceed - but don't worry, we have other events lined up for you!

1. CNY Dinner
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
For those who have signed up for the ICSS CNY dinner, don't forget that it is happening tomorrow! Here is a gentle reminder of the details:

We have already designated a table number for each table so do lookout for our registration counter at the entrance of New World Restaurant to find out yours!

2. Major Event 2016
HELLO EVERYONE!!!

To give you a taste of what to expect, here's a brief synopsis of our show ;)
Exhilarating, witty and warm to the heart, our musical this year follows the story of Hannah, a Singaporean Girl who wants to be THE Singapore Girl; to travel the world as an air stewardess. But she faces one big obstacle; she can't speak proper English! Fortunately or not, Hannah eventually meets Augustus, a Professor of Linguistics, who promises to transform her within 6 months, but only on one condition.
What is this condition? How will he transform her? Will Hannah ever speak proper English? 'My Singapore Girl' puts a Singaporean twist to the classic musical, 'My Fair Lady', and will bring you through the ups and downs of this heartland Singapore girl, as she finds her way towards achieving her dream!

3. Day Trip Updates
Hi everyone!
Just a quick update regarding the Day Trip to Portsmouth, but I'm sorry to say that interest wasn't sufficient for us to be able to proceed with the Day Trip. But it's okay, if you realise that you suddenly have a lot of free time on the 5th of March, do support MSoc who are having their Malaysian Night on that Saturday and Sunday.
Don't worry, just because of Major Event doesn't mean we've forgotten about our Musical Outing so look out for that very soon!
