1. Singapore VS Malaysia: Who boleh? - The final showdown (27 Jan 2012)

To the hardiest, toughest, and bravest fighters for our nation's pride, 

The time has come. 

At last, the long-awaited finale to our epic clash with MSoc in the Who boleh? Series has finally arrived: the Food Festival. This time, get set to battle over our country's favourite past-time: FOOD! Get your game face on, and prepare yourselves for our final showdown with the Malaysians to show them we mean business over several food-based competitions. 

Here's the details: 

Date: 27 Jan 2011 
Time: 1930-2200 h
Venue: Union Activity Space (opposite Union Dining Hall) 

Note: This is a POTLUCK event, so please bring your best dishes and let our 'friendly neighbours' have a taste of the true Singaporean flavour. If you're kiasu enough to come early and queue, you'll hopefully get a taste of Chin our Iron Chef's die die must try competition entry that's going to be the best in Singapore, JB, and some say Batam!

2. Solemates recruitment: Looking for lighting crew!

Here's a message from our Major Event Officer, YiJing:

Hello everyone,

Are you passionate about joining your friends in this year's Major Event, Solemates, but cannot find the right team to join? Well here is your chance, we are recruiting our very own lighting crew.

This job comes with its very own perks: you will be getting a VIP view of the entire musical while playing your role in it! (Not even the actors or dancers get the chance to do so, HA.) Having experience with stage lighting is a bonus, but if you do not have any, fret not; just come with an open mind to pick up some new skills! All you have to do is just to drop me an email at majorevent@ic-singsoc.net to indicate your interest.

3. UKSSC Inter-university Captain's Ball League(1 Feb 2012)

Here's a message from our Sport Officer, Yuxiang:

Hey sports/Captain's Ball enthusiasts,

The much-awaited details of the UKSSC Inter-University Captain's Ball League fixtures and details are finally out!

For those who still have no idea what is going on, here's a heads up: over the next 5 weeks (1 Feb - 7 Mar), there will be an Inter-university Captain's Ball League held every Wednesday at Wilson House.

 

ICSS will be sending a mixed team of 12, and recruitment is still open! So interested people who have yet to secure a place in the team, contact me at sportsofficer@ic-singsoc.net now! Our fixtures are as follow:
