1. Ordinary General Meeting 2020
Hey everyone!
We have concluded our Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) on 21st Dec, 2020. Thank you for coming down to listen to our presentations! For those who missed it, the OGM was held to provide a
recap of past events and give updates to new initiatives, keep our members informed about our society and a platform for our members to clarify any doubts and give constructive feedback so that we can serve you better.
Below is a quick summary of the OGM:
1. A membership report was presented. In addition, we also shared the benefits that members will get to receive, which includes subsidy for sports, voting rights during elections, and
member-exclusive events! If this sounds good to you, go ahead and get your (free) membership
here!
2. We took a look at the past events held over summer 2020 and the first term of school, as well as potential
upcoming events (we hope you are excited for them!)
3. Updates for Ski Trip, which, unfortunately, would not be taking place this year.
4. Churn Hym presented the details for Major Event 2021, which will be held on 27th February 2021! For those who are interested to perform, you can sign up here!
You will stand a chance to win attractive prizes and meet new friends from ICSS, so what are you waiting for?
5. For Play@ICSS, the budget and expenditure for sports sessions held over the summer were presented. We also talked about our future plans once the government restrictions begin to relax,
as well as our brand new Tag Along!
initiative which would be rolled out, subject to the interest of our members as well as the guidelines for Phase 3.
6. The loaning procedure for ICSS Board Games Online was highlighted. Simply contact any ExCo member to borrow the account. The borrowing of board games in London will depend on the Covid
situation, so stay tuned to our social media channels for updates!
7. A financial report was presented.
8. An update was presented on our various Liaison channels, such as Facebook, Website and the ICSS Travel Drive. While the travel drive will not see much usage in the near future, we hope
that it will be useful to our members when the pandemic is over!
9. Lastly, we also shared about our brand new ICSS Games Discord! This Discord channel will be used for Games Night and other events in the future. You can also use it during your own
free time to find people to play games with. If you are not already part of the Discord, you can join using the link here: https://tinyurl.com/ICSSDiscord.
If you encounter any issues, you may refer to our 'How to use Discord' guide
here, or contact any of the ExCo members.
That's all from us, see you at our upcoming events! If you'd like a copy of the slides, do email us at president@ic-singsoc.net.
Your hopefully-can-still-graduate President,
Mein Yeak
