Fellow student leaders and friends,

The UKSSC will be organising the Student Network Forum 2010 (SNF 2010) during the summer holidays of 2010 in Singapore. Please allow me to give you a brief background of the event.

Background

This event, which involves senior government officials and leaders in various fields, is a platform for overseas and local Singaporean students to exchange their views on issues pertaining to Singapore. Last year, this event was coined "In Convers(n)ation", and the forum was focused on Singapore's economy, touching on topics like foreign talent and Singapore's education system.

The official website for In Convers(n)ation can be found at
http://inconversation.sg/.
Do visit it to get a better idea of the form and manner of the event.

SNF 2010

The over-arching theme for SNF 2010 will be the socio-economic landscape of Singapore. This year, participants will include Singaporean undergraduates from not only the UK and Singapore, but also China and the US. Set against the backdrop of topics pertaining to the theme, the aim of this participant-composition is to explore the differences in views amongst Singaporean undergraduates who are immersed in different cultural and educational backgrounds. The event ends with a careers fair for the participants.

SNF 2010 is tentatively scheduled on 31 July 2010 (Sat) in Singapore.
