Hey everyone!
Well now that it's back to the grind, hope that everyone still has their spirits up, seeing that it's only the beginning of the year, and there are lots to be excited about coming your way!
The Hyde Park Picnic recently concluded last weekend, drawing the Freshers Package to a close. Of course, we trust that the new friendships that the freshers have forged over the past few months in Singsoc will last a long time, and that all the OGs will continue to meet up!
The Freshers Package was definitely not the end of the Singsoc calendar, and we have many more events lined up for the entire society! Nottingham Winter Games will be happening on 14 Nov 2015 (Sat) at the University of Nottingham (duh), and it will be an excellent opportunity to represent Team Imperial or just visit Nottingham! Please register HERE either way!
Also, the journey for Major Event 2016 is about to begin - we will be having the Meet & Greet on this Fri, 23 Oct 2015, 7.30pm at SAF G34, where we will be introducing the crew and script, and showing you what to expect for the months ahead! If you are still interested to sign up, please do so HERE - it's never too late to join us on this awesome journey!

1. Hyde Park Picnic
Thank you everyone who came down to Hyde Park Picnic on Saturday! Blessed with good weather (no rain), it was a great day where seniors and freshers come together to mingle, play games and eat. Hope everyone had fun in this relaxed gathering.
As a conclusion to the Fresher’s Package, we hope that all freshers enjoyed what ICSS had planned for you since the pre-departure talk. This is just the beginning of the many other exciting events so stay tuned and look out for them!

2. Nottingham Winter Games
Gear up for another exciting opportunity to represent TEAM IMPERIAL and pit your skills against students from other UK universities. This year’s Nottingham Winter Games is guaranteed to be a day of fun, laughter and friendly competition.
Those who wish to just visit and tour Nottingham are also welcomed to join us but do REGISTER as well! Nottingham Singapore Society will be providing some guided tours around the area.
The details are as follows:
Date: 14 November 2015, Saturday
Venue: University of Nottingham (Free transport will be provided)
Sports Involved:
- Badminton (Singles, Doubles – Men’s & Women’s)
- Captain’s Ball (6 v 6, minimum of two girls playing at all times, maximum of 1 substitute)
- Tug of War (4 v 4, minimum of 1 girl per team)
- Football (5 v 5, maximum of 2 substitutes)
- Netball (7 v 7, maximum of 3 substitutes)
- Dodgeball (5 v 5, minimum of one girl playing at all times, maximum of 1 substitute)
- Touch Rugby (5 v 5, minimum of one girl playing at all times, maximum of 1 substitute)
- Ultimate Frisbee (5 v 5, maximum of 2 substitutes)
- Monopoly Deal (Individual)
- Big 2 (Individual)
- Singapore Quiz
Sign up for Notts HERE! Deadline is 24 October 2015. We will also be taking orders for the packed lunch (typical school café food i.e. sandwiches, fruits, water etc.) provided by the University of Nottingham Hospitality Department. It will cost £5 and money will be collected on the bus. On the day of the event, the cafeteria and Man’s Gourmet (http://www.mansgourmet.com/) will be opened in the Portland Building, Top Floor as well.

3. Major Event 2016
HELLO LOVELY FRIENDS!
The time has come to meet THE WHOLE CREW of MAJOR EVENT 2016!!!
This Friday, we will formally introduce the cast of our musical, My Singapore Girl, as well as the story behind it! We will also present to you all the teams for this year, and the coaches/ directors/ choreographers/ team admins who will take you on the journey towards the 27 February 2016 ^^
Prior to the meeting on Friday, your teams will go out for a dinner too – your team admins will inform you about this!
