Happy times pass quickly and we are nearing the end of the winter break already! T_T But that also means that we have more exciting events planned up for you :D

Of most notable mention are our two big upcoming events - CNY Reunion Dinner and Major Event!

If you recall from the last issue of Kaya and Toast, our annual CNY Reunion Dinner is going to be held on Friday, 24 January, one week before the actual date itself. I believe that for most of us, CNY is a most special holiday that we would love to spend with our family back home. In this city far far away from Singapore, we can seek comfort in celebrating this special occasion with our friends in ICSS. Sign-ups are open now! Look on for more details! 

And also - Major Event 2014: A Kopi Affair is approaching! We are looking for friendly emcees to help host the show, and also tickets are on sale already! Super early bird tickets are at £8 and early bird tickets are at £9 each, so do grab them quick! Do come and support your friends of the ICSS family (:

Hi everyone!

Sign-ups are open now! Gather your friends to form a table in groups of 10! If you have less than 10 people, we can help to group you with other small groups too. After forming your group, appoint a table IC. Only the IC needs to sign up for everyone here. Sign-ups close on 18 January 2014 (Saturday). Payment instructions will be sent out to the IC once registration has been confirmed.

It would be really great to celebrate CNY together, far away as we are from home (: Sign up now, and see you there!

Happy New Year to all!

I hope you've had an awesome holiday thus far! Just some information here from me as we move into the new year. 2 main pieces of information below:

1) Emcee Applications

Emcees are integral in our production. Most often than not, they are the ones who the crowd sees at the start, and hears at the end. They are the ones who will first entertain the crowd, before any of the main cast. Those who have seen last year's show will know that our emcees from last year were absolutely wonderful, making the show that much more complete.

Applications to join us as emcees for now open, and will remain open until 29th January 2014. To apply, simply drop an email to me at majorevent@ic-singsoc.net, stating the following information:

Your name(s), number of people auditioning (may be as a pair or in a group of three, or fly solo), and your contact number(s) and email(s).

Following which, you will receive more information about the remaining procedures from then on. Do take note that you will need to be present for the rehearsal on 15/2, if possible both rehearsals on 12/2 and 19/2, and of course the show itself, on 22/2.

2) Ticket Sales and Facebook Page

We have officially launched our A Kopi Affair Facebook Page! Yup, our show this year will be titled "A Kopi Affair". The link to our page is here: https://www . facebook . com/MajorEvent2014

In the upcoming weeks, we will be posting our posters, trailers, and photos, amongst other possible material and information. So, do like our page to keep up with us! Also, invite your friends to like the page, as the page is not only targeted at us Imperial students, but to all who are interested in the show.

There will be 2 online early bird prices:

Super Early Bird Tickets: £8/ticket 
There are only 100 tickets in this category, and this will end on 24th January 2014, 2359hrs.

Early Bird Ticket: £9/ticket
This will end on 7th February 2014, 2359hrs.

Normal Ticket: £10/ticket. 

The same link is also on our Facebook page. EVERYONE can buy their tickets using the link above, including your friends who aren't from Imperial (just a short additional step), so do recommend your friends to get their hands on the tickets when it is RELATIVELY cheaper!
