1. ICSS AGM is TOMORROW!

Dear esteemed members,

The ICSS will be holding our 28th Annual General Meeting TOMORROW!

                Event                    : Annual General Meeting (Elections)
                Date                     : 9th of March 2011 (Wednesday)
                Venue                  : EEE LT 408 
                Time                     : 1pm onwards

Members are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting to take part in the Elections for the changeover of office holders. Meals will be provided for all present.
 
Interested Candidates

For candidates interested to run for office positions for 2011/2012, you are encouraged to submit a manifesto to liaisonsofficer@ic-singsoc.net to be placed on the ICSS website. The manifestos will go up onto the website as soon as you submit it, and the sooner the better.

Please do not hesitate to contact any of the current office holders if you would like to find out more about what each role exactly entails!

2. Touch Rugby at Hyde Park (12/03/2011)

*Conundrum*

This is a weird week.
Clouds move on, Colours restored.
Suddenly feels warm.

This is pretty odd,
Mince pies no longer on sale.
Could Winter be gone?

Spring is here, Hurray!
What to do now? Must wear shorts!
And play Touch Rugby!

Dear one and all,
As you guessed, Spring is finally here!! And what better way to enjoy the sun than to actually get out of your library/lab/couch and have a Fun Run in the Sun!!

Come join us this Saturday at Hyde Park (it has flowers) and play Touch Rugby! It is a SAFE sport, no tackling whatsoever and best of all, good for your health!

No worries if you haven't played before, we welcome you with open arms! (that's how we defend anyway)

Place: Hyde Park Round Pond
Time: *10:30am*
Attire: Feet required, boots awesome.

3. Careers@Home: Public Sector United Kingdom - Imperial College (11/03/2011)

Want to have a hand in shaping Singapore’s future?

Contact Singapore and the Public Service Division invite Singaporean students from Imperial College to a networking dinner with public agencies from various sectors in the government.

Mr Timothy Sebastian, Group Director for the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR) would be giving a special talk on “Global Nexus for Research Talent”. Mr Sebastian started his career with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) in 1987. Over 18 years, he held various appointments spanning EDB's Cluster Development, International Operations, Planning and Corporate functions. He has worked in EDB’s Enterprise Development, Services, International Business Development, Planning, Human Resources, and Corporation Communications Divisions. From 1994 to 1998, he also served overseas as EDB's UK Director based in London, and later, as Regional Director (Europe).
