1. ICSS Ordinary General Meeting 2011 (9 Nov 2011)

Dear brothers and sisters,

In just two weeks, the 29th ICSS Executive Committee will be organising its first Ordinary General Meeting. It will be a great opportunity for members to step up and discover more about the direction which the Society is heading in, as well as to engage the Exco with queries or suggestions. The details of OGM are as below:

Date: 9 Nov 2011
Time: 1300-1500h
Venue: RSM LT 1.31

During the OGM, we will provide updates on future events for the coming year, followed by a screening of “(In)Sanity”, the Major Event Production 2011. If you were part of the Cast and Crew of (In)Sanity, come down on the 9th of November to relive the memorable (and sometimes hilarious) moments together with fellow Production Team members!

Limited edition (In)Sanity DVDs, including footage of the actual performance as well as special features, will be distributed to members of the Production Team during this time.  

In addition, the winners for the Wackiest Photo Competition as well as the ICSS Fiesta will be announced during OGM. Membership cards will also be distributed for those who have registered as members, so do attend OGM and pick up your exclusive membership cards to start enjoying the tantalising restaurant discounts that membership has to offer!

2. EDB-Imperial Networking Event (4 Nov 2011)

EDB will be organising an EDB-Imperial Networking Event this month!

Hear about the EDB internship experience from your schoolmates like Zhan You & Dun Xiang.

EDB’s Internships are also offered to students across all years of study (including Year 1s).

Note: EDB’s Summer Internships are only open to Singaporeans / Singaporean PRs who are not under any government scholarships.

3. Major Event 2012 - We're recruiting!

It is finally the time of the year - a time to have lots of fun, a time to meet new friends and a time to join ICSS MAJOR EVENT 2012! Yes we have officially started recruiting! (That's our boss in the photo!)
 

Just in case you are still scratching your head over what Major Event is, let me drop you a hint. Major Event is the biggest and the most exciting event in our Singsoc calendar. To put it simply, it is THE event of the year. This year, we are embarking on yet another musical to showcase our Singaporean talents. That is why we need you, and no prior experience is required.

If you have not signed up with us during the Hyde Park picnic, please do so by emailing the respective team leader for registration now.

4. Floorball and Netball session (2 Nov 2011)

Here's a message from our Sports Officer, Yuxiang:

Hello all!

The next sport session, and final one before Nottingham Games, will involve Floorball and Netball. In consideration of the limited time and venue bookings we have, the session will have to be split into 2 halves, with Floorball taking the first hour and Netball being played in the second.

The session will be on 2 Nov 2011 (Wed), 4-6 pm at Wilson House. To fully maximise the booking, and your playing times (especially when we only have 1 hour for each sport), please arrive early and ready to play by 4pm!

For the sportsmen and sportswomen in the Floorball and Netball Nottingham Games Teams, do your best to attend your last official training slot in our calendar. Although the focus would be tilted towards training for the Nottingham teams, non-competitors are still welcome. Do join us and help train up our athletes!

5. Bicester Village trip (19 Nov 2011)
