2. Major Event 2019
Hello!
It's only week till *Chai Dao Kueh: The Musical*!
Lily and Suzy are hawkers in Singapore, with a long standing rivalry trying
to outdo each other. Lily is a Chinese lady selling Chai Dao Kueh and Suzy
is an Indian-Muslim lady selling Nasi Biryani. The situation is complicated
by a forbidden romance between Rizwan, Suzy's son and Hailey, Lily's
daughter which is prevented from blooming because of their different races.
Meanwhile, Lily is diagnosed with breast cancer and her remaining children,
Andy and Timmy, struggle to put her through chemotherapy while supporting
the stall. In a similar financial situation, Rizwan must overcome his
nemesis at school - the well-to-do gangster Richie who preys on him as a
poor hawker's boy.
Will their shared heritage in Singapore be enough to bond these two
families at odds with each other? More importantly, what does a mystery new
dish have to do with any of it?
Tickets are available on our union shop HERE
<https://union.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d91a1cb130f12317830464586&i…>
or through any performers!
This Major Event is the culmination of our efforts in the past few months,
and we would love to share it with you guys. See you at the Great Hall!
Cheers,
Nathanael

2. Post-Christmas Party 2018
Hello friends!
We hope everyone had fun and enjoyed the warm and homely *Christmas Party*!
Our home-cooked festive food was a great hit (and we can probably open a
catering business if we had the time :P)! Special thanks to our wonderful
helpers that supported us behind the scenes for the cooking, setup and
cleanup! Everyone also satisfied their sweet tooth cravings during the
bake-off, with 4 different varieties for dessert! :) Kudos to the teams for
taking part and congratulations to the winning team!!

Hi there!
I hope we are all getting used to the early sunsets and cold mornings of

1. Post-Hyde Park Picnic 2018
Hello!
This year's *Hyde Park Picnic*, the first official Imperial College
Singapore Society event for the new academic year, was held on a sunny
Saturday afternoon on the 20th of October 2018. Close to 70 ICSS members
had a great time playing board games, singing and engaging in a variety of
sports, or simply taking the time to catch up with friends or making new
ones.
It was a great chance for the freshers to experience the beauty of Hyde
Park and for everyone to take a short breather from their hectic academic
routine, while enjoying the delicious sandwiches and food prepared by the
36th Executive Committee!
Thank you to all who came down for the event. We hope that you have had a
great time! As our hectic schedules (*if your course starts with the
letters 'Bio', 'Med' or 'Aero', do ignore this*) starts to kick in, don't
forget to relax and take a breather! We hope to see you guys at our future
ICSS events for the rest of the academic year!
Your Picnic Sports Officer,
Andy Liew
