I know I have already said three times already, but school is starting soon! This is the last issue before the school term officially begins on 3rd October, so we hope that everyone is very excited to continue our journey of lifelong learning :-) To all the freshers, you should have received your hall allocations by now. Due to UK's regulations regarding social gatherings, we are unable to carry out the yearly airport shuttle services and hall walkabouts. However, do not worry as we will be creating a hall guide and WhatsApp group for all of you, so sit tight and look out for it! In addition, as dictated by the Union, all in-person events will be suspended until further notice. As such, we are coming up with new events for you all. Shopee Ultra-Hackathon 2021 5. More Kaya on Your Toast 1. KILU Talks Hi everyone! We will be holding a new online event, "KILU Talks". We would like to gather interest from you before confirming the details. This event aims to connect SingSoc members from all 4 universities (KCL, ICL, LSE and UCL). The idea is to talk to around 2-3 people in each Zoom Breakout room before rotating to meet other people. That way you can get to know more people from the other London universities and make new friends! The date has not yet been confirmed, but it will be at night (SGT) to accommodate for those already in London. This event will most likely be held in November. Autumn term is coming up, and with the current Covid-19 pandemic affecting both London and Singapore, many ICSS events have been cancelled or changed to fit the social distancing and social gathering requirements. The ExCo has been trying to come up with different events for the members, but we also would like to know what you want to see and do! These events can be held in either Singapore or London, or even online events that can allow everybody to participate. The suggestion can just be a rough idea and does not have to be super detailed. If you have a good idea for an event, we will contact you for additional details or give you support if you want to organise it yourself. Let us know your ideas and we will put it into action!
