                         Updates
Hi everyone!
HAVE YOU BOUGHT YOUR TICKETS?
*Major Event 2015: Brothers* is happening in less than a week's time! We've
had our last full dress rehearsal last Sunday, and having gone through the
script and plot countless of times, I am still very awed by the
performances put up by all the performers - be it the dances, the songs,
the acting and the props. It has been a long but definitely meaningful and
enjoyable journey for so many of us (since October last year!) and I'm sure
this show is one not to be missed, and would worth every single ounce of
your time! Come on down to the Great Hall at Imperial College this
Saturday, 28 Feb and join us on this amazing evening culminating the effort
put together by more than 100 passionate and dedicated individuals :)
The *Annual General Meeting (AGM)* follows about 2 weeks after Major Event
on 18 March. I would strongly encourage all members to attend this meeting.
During AGM, the incumbent committee will be sharing and reviewing the
events and activities planned for you in the past year, as well as
presenting the financial statement to you. As a stakeholder, you have the
right to know how the society has been managed as well as to exercise your
choice in deciding the incoming committee for the next academic year. To
make an informed decision, it is imperative for you to be present and hear
what each candidate has to offer for the society. Hope to see you there!
On another note, if you feel like you haven't been exercising much
recently, and want to get into the competitive spirit, check out more
details of the annual *Who Boleh* competition between us and Imperial's
Malaysian and Thailand society below! There are exciting prizes to be won
too!
We have also concluded our annual *Chinese New Year dinner *at New World
Chinese Restaurant last Monday. Check out the photos taken on that
heartwarming evening in the album of our Facebook page HERE
<http://e.groupspaces.com/click/5k8pm-1ez6m-2cad50c5km?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.f…>!
Don't
forget to like them and tag your friends too!
Lastly, the Overseas Singaporean Unit (OSU) will be organising a charity
run for Singapore's Community Chest at Hyde Park on 28 March, and everyone
is welcomed to participate! More details will be released at a later date.
However, you might want to save this date before making holiday plans
during the Easter break, and do your part for the less fortunate back home.
Have a great week ahead and hope to see you this Saturday evening!
Your faithful secretary,
Weihao Lim

 4. Chinese New Year Dinner
Happy Chinese New Year everybody!
The Year of The Goat/Ram/Sheep has arrived and is in full swing! Just last
Monday, over 100 members of the ICSS family got together to celebrate the
coming of the Chinese New Year with a very special Reunion Dinner at New
World Restaurant. Everyone took part in the customary Lo Hei and had a
chance to showcase their singing talents at the karaoke! A few lucky people
even walked away with gift vouchers from the lucky draw!
We would like to once again extend our thanks to Mr Zach Tan of Infocomm
Investments for very kindly sponsoring the Yusheng and subsidising the
dinner alongside ICSS.
Managing more than S$200 million, Infocomm Investments builds and invests
in startup companies in Singapore and globally. They accelerate the
development of these young companies in their formative phase, and invest
further as they move towards growth and expansion. Partnering leading

Singapore to build a strong pipeline of high quality startups ready to gun
for global scale. Their main interests lie in: Technology, Software,
Internet and everything in between. Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd is a

                            Updates
Hi everyone!
Our *Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2015 *and *Committee Elections* are
happening on 18 March! Do note this date down for it is an important day
where you, as a member of the society, know of how your membership fund has
been managed, as well as get to hear of the final round-up of all the
events and activities that have been planned for you in the academic year
2014 - 2015. In addition, the committee elections will be held on the same
day when you get to exercise your vote in deciding your next committee to
run the society! To make an informed and intelligent decision, I strongly
encourage all members to attend this event for you would know what each
candidate has to say and provide for you in the next academic year. You
would also have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify your doubts
too. As a stakeholder, this is definitely an event not to be missed.
Our awesome *Chinese New Year Dinner* sign-ups are still open! After
receiving feedback from previous year's attendees that the food weren't all
that fantastic, we have come up with a BRAND NEW 10-COURSE MENU for
everyone! Top this up with karaoke, games, lucky draw (with really exciting
prizes), and the awesome company of friends and buddies, the night is bound
to be a blast!
Finally, *Major Event 2015: Brothers*, the major production so many of us
have been spending so much time, effort and energy in for the past 4 to 5
months will come to fruition in one single night - 28 February. Do check
