Cavers, *Tuesday 7pm Union Bar *First bar meet of the term, your chance to come and chat about the dark arts. Bring *£10 deposit* to guarantee your place on one of the freshers' trips. We'll stick a helmet on the table to advertise our presence. If the Union bar is rammed we might end up outside. * 17-19th October - South Wales - **£**20 all in (food, accommodation, transport, moral guidance)* Zooming off to the Swansea valley, staying in a comfy hut with a wood fire and big fat ovens just a 200 metre stumble through the national park to the cave entrance, where we can get stuck right in to some nice 8hr+ trips. Start your caving career with a big bang and get lost in the mighty Ogof Fynnon Ddu: http://ogof.net *Wednesday Noon-ish - Tree Train - **£FREE* Come outside and practice your rope techniques on the trees of princes gardens: climb up a piece of nylon the size of your finger then abseil down, pass deviations and rebelays, swing manically on the curious 'electron' ladders... Good fun, swinging from a tree. Major washout on the Saturday which prevented us from venturing to the streamway, rain had stopped by Sunday lunch in time for a beautiful walk up a hill in the Brecons.
