Which can mean only one thing - it's Easter Tour signup time!! *TO SIGN UP, PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScihUc4ed9cJpt5jFiBbRS5lX1r0UHxewHUCwnFWRli5bw9aw/viewform?usp=header> BEFORE FRI 24th JAN (END OF THIS WEEK)* so that the booking can commence next weekend before AirBnBs fill up and flight prices take off. And now for a whole load of exciting info: This year will be the magnificent return of ICCC to 🇮🇹 Sardinia 🇮🇹 where we last went in 2018, and have been dying to return to ever since. Curious to read about what we got up to last time we visited this glorious, sun-soaked and cave-riddled corner of the Mediterranean? Check out the trip reports: Sardinia 2018 <https://imperialcaving.com/article/sardinia-2018-03-24> Sardinia 2014 <https://imperialcaving.com/article/sardinia-2014-03-31> Sardinia 2011 <https://imperialcaving.com/article/sardinia-2011-03-27> Sardinia 2007 <https://imperialcaving.com/article/sardinia-2007-03-24> Wow, the club has gone to Sardinia a lot you say - that is no coincidence! Sardinia epitomises Imperial Easter Tour caving with awe-inspiringly-large caves, speleothems beyond your wildest dreams, picture postcard beaches and most importantly an abundance of delicious food (and cheap wine!). Since the club has been before, we have local contacts who help us with cave access and information, which makes life oh so much easier (yes, *this is your chance to meet the famous Bobo* who speaks zero English and meows at puddles, as he has promised to help us once again!) *When?* Sat March 22nd to Sun Mar 30th. As before, we will aim to book flights for Sat 22nd, or potentially the evening of Friday 21st, which is immediately after the end of the Spring term. This gives those of you with exams a much needed break after a long term, while also leaving the rest of the Easter break interrupted for revision/procrastination/wishing-you-were-back-in-Sardinia. We will then return the following Sunday to maximise holiday per number of days leave for those of us with jobs who have to care about such silly things. *How much?* ~£350 per person ish, all inclusive. Yep, that's including flights, accomodation, hire cars, every meal, all caving related stuff, the lot. This is great value for 9 action packed days in the Med!! *SRT?* This trip will require you to be proficient in SRT. This means you will need to have completed tree training, as well as having come on a few SRT weekend trips with us in the UK. There are still a few SRT trips before ET so get that practice in! If you're unsure if you've done enough SRT then fill the form, send me an email, and we can chat. *I can't go for the whole time, can I come at all?* You're very welcome to join - multiple people have already asked me this so thought I'd mention it. You may not be able to do very much given limited time, if you're going to give your caving kit to someone else on the way there/back you'll need to pay for the extra hold luggage, and you will need to communicate with me what your plans are since you will presumably need picking up/dropping off at an airport, but we can figure this out and there's no reason why you can't join :) *I'm not sure if I can make those dates ??* Sign up anyway, and send me an email explaining your situation so we can discuss. *Is it all caving, what's the plan?* Not at all! Nothing is set-in-limestone as of yet, but we plan on having caving trips interspersed by rest days to enjoy the above-ground life. Caving-wise we have grand plans to return to Su Palu (with the mind-blowingly-large chamber of Lilliput) and Voragine di Tiscali (with its spectacular 70m roof abseil) both of which we visited in 2018. We may also visit Su Bentu (a stunning river cave where you swim through endless crystal-clear blue pools, trek over sand dunes, and will see the most gargantuan fault plane in your life) and potentially Bue Marino (which is only accessed by boat!) to name but a few. On non-caving days we will be sampling some of the finest beaches in Europe, with options to go hiking through the Supramonte mountain range, perhaps tackling one of the via ferrata routes in the area, or just going for a drive through the picturesque towns dotted throughout the mountains. Not to mention eating loads of delicious food! So what are you waiting for! Go sign up now at the form at the top of this email!
