Hello cavers. As part of the Exploration Society's regular talks on expeditions we will be talking about our summer expedition to Slovenia. The talk will be in the Union Dining Hall<https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/about-us/union-map> at *12pm on Thursday the 10th of October. Entry is free *and there will be free cheese and crackers and free wine (first come first serve). For the past 20 years the Imperial College Caving Club has been exploring a cave system in the Migovec mountain in Slovenia in cooperation with a local club, the JSPDT. Each year we explore more cave passage, going where no one has ever been before. It is one of the few places on Earth it is possible to do this. We will be talking about how we live on a mountain in the middle of the Triglav national park for 5 weeks, our experiences of caving at depths of nearly a kilometer and camping underground for 3 days at a time, as well as a brief summary of our interesting finds and innovations from recent years. Hopefully you can all make it and we can inspire to come caving with us, it is entirely possible for you to be pushing the limits of human exploration by this summer.
