Weekend Trip to Derbyshire (Peak District) !!! When: Friday 27/05/2022 at 17:00 to Sunday 29/05/2022 at 23:45 Where: Derbyshire (DPC) Price: The trip is paid for in two parts, first a £17.00 deposit before the trip, and after the trip the transport cost is subsidised and split between all attendees (total capped at £45.00) Membership: you need membership to join weekend trips (£30.00) SIGN UP: Please reply to this email if you would like to come! Please tell us your full name, whether you have a rail card and/or a car, what the earliest time is that you could leave on Friday, any dietary requirements, any medical conditions, and anything else you think we need to know. (Older members who have access to our accounts spreadsheet, please add your name there, no need to reply to this email.) This is a vertical SRT trip. This means that you must have learned all relevant rope skills at tree training. We will meet in stores on Tuesday (24/05) at 17:00 to pack kit. You do not need any equipment of your own, we will provide everything you could possibly need in a cave. A thermal base layer is beneficial in the winter though, if you happen to own thermals. Please only buy the trip fee once your spot on this trip has been confirmed. We aim to confirm spots by the end of next week and an email with more details will be sent out then. How the trip works: We will set off on Friday evening and return on Sunday evening. On Friday we will leave from outside Beit Halls. If you can, please do a covid test before coming on the trip. We will stop at a supermarket on the way to buy all the food we need for the weekend and also for you to buy your own dinner/snacks for Friday. Except for Friday’s and Sunday’s dinner, we cook all of our food together which is included in the trip cost. Accommodation, transport and all equipment are also covered by the trip fee! On Saturday we will have a fairly long caving trip if you feel like it, but sometimes a few of us decide to have a nice day on the surface instead. On Sunday we will have a shorter caving trip before driving back to London to return around midnight. We will hopefully have a functioning minibus.
