We'll be in Prince's Gardens opposite Ethos. You can turn up any time between 1-5 and it will probably take 1 to 2 hours for you to learn all the SRT (Single Rope Technique) skills but you can stay as long as you like and don't have to learn everything in one session. Everyone *must* have been to at least one tree training before going on a Yorkshire trip and typically we require two. So if you want to go on Y1 (10-12/11), Y2 (1-3/12) or Winter tour (15-22/12) then come along. For people who learn best if they can go home and review what they learned in their own time we have an SRT guide attached to this email that Una helpfully made and a lot of people find this very useful for helping them learn. We'll be running it at the same time and place every Wednesday this term :) Hope to see you there! Ellie

We will be going to Yorkshire and to go on this trip you will need to have learned: -Ascending -Descending -Change over -Deviation -Rebelay and have been to at least two tree training sessions to show you remember the skills. There are only 3 tree training sessions before the trip so come today if you want to come on a Yorkshire trip and see some of the best caves in the UK! If you can't find us or have any questions then send a message in the whatsapp (https://chat.whatsapp.com/GQWF1ZlOVTk54ofa808IME) Yours til the final rainy tree training, Ellie ps. You shouldn't get muddy but I still wouldn't wear light coloured clothes because there could still be mud on the ropes and harnesses On Wed, 11 Oct 2023, 11:22 Imperial College Caving Club, < ic.caving@gmail.com> wrote:
