Hey all,

Just a reminder that there will be a first aid session on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in Union Meeting Room 4 (3rd floor). There is a chance we might move to Room 5, in which case there will be another email and a sign.

I will focus on hypothermia and minor trauma, and there will be 'simulations' in which you can practice your first aid skills on actual, alive (willing) humans.

Cheers,

Hello all,

Many of you have been on a few trips now, so it's worth thinking about safety in caves. The club has an excellent track record of keeping everyone safe, and we intend to keep it that way by holding a few sessions on different aspects of safety over the next few months,

The first talk will be on First Aid in caves on Tuesday 9th December at 18:30 in the Union Meeting Room 4 (3rd floor). I will focus on hypothermia and minor trauma, and there will be 'simulations' in which you can practice your first aid skills on actual, alive (willing) humans.
