Membership you need membership to join weekend trips which is £30.00 (membership lasts the entire year)

Price £45 however if this is your first trip with us you get a discount making it only £25 for the entire weekend.

SRT (Single Rope Technique) You need to have learned:

-Ascending

-Descending

-Change over

-Deviation

-Rebelay

to come on this trip. Tree training was only running in the first term so you need to have learned all of these skills already.

If you can drive the Union Minibuses you will get £6 off your ticket and you will be guaranteed a place on the trip so please let us know. You will also get fairly shameless favouritism if you are eligible to drive the buses in the future (over 21 and had a UK drivers licence for 2 years).

You do not need any equipment of your own, we will provide everything you could possibly need in a cave.

Please only buy the trip fee once your spot on this trip has been confirmed. We aim to confirm spots by the end of next week and an email with more details will be sent out then. 

How the trip works

This trip will be slightly different because we're running first aid training. We will set off in the minibus on Friday evening around 17:30 from outside Beit Halls and return there on Sunday evening around 23:30. We will stop at a supermarket somewhere on the way to buy all the food we need for the weekend and also for you to buy Friday's dinner as well as snacks or drinks. Saturday’s and Sunday’s meals will be cooked as a group at the hut, and the cost is included in the trip cost. Accommodation, transport and all equipment are also covered by the trip cost. On Saturday we'll usually wake up around 8:00, people doing first aid training will have cereal and get to the training at 9am. They will stay there until around 4. There are multiple breaks and Sean who runs it is very nice. The people going caving (or canyoning!) will have a larger breakfast and head off a bit later. Sunday will run much the same, except the first aid training will finish slightly earlier so we can get back to London at a reasonable time. We'll be staying at the NPC cottage in Yorkshire.
