Caving day trip and Yorkshire trip!

Hi All, tldr; - Tell us whether you want to come on a day caving trip on *Saturday 19th Nov.* - email ic.caving(a)gmail.com - Email ic.caving(a)gmail.com *from 31st Oct.* for a place on the first Yorkshire trip. There is a lot of interest in the first Yorkshire trip already. We probably won't be able to take all of you who are interested in coming (there are only 9 spots per trip). We therefore want to know whether (regardless if you get a Yorkshire spot or not) any of you would be *interested in a day caving trip to the Mendip Hills*. Please email ic.caving(a)gmail.com if interested, *this will not confirm a place*. The day trip would be held on the *Saturday of the 19th of November *and will cost £20.00. The *first Yorkshire trip* (Y1) will be from the *11th - 13th November* and places will be available from the *31st of October*. Cavers go Bouldering

Hi all This Wednesday at 6pm the Caving club is headed to the Climbing Hangar ( http://theclimbinghangar.com/london/) to go bouldering. Everyone is welcome, and new members are actively encouraged to come along and try it out. Freshers Caving Trips

Hi all, As a reminder our freshers trips are on these dates: Wales 1: 14th - 16th October Wales 2: 28th - 30th October To sign up please buy membership and the trip fee here <https://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/shop/club-society-project-products/cav…> . If you have already signed up then you're good to go and we'll send you more information closer to the trip date. You don't need any prior experience to join and all equipment, food and accommodation is provided. We have limited amount of spare sleeping bags however, so it is advisable to bring your own. *Logistics* We will take the minibus at around 6:30 from Beit Quad on the Friday of the trip date. We will then drive to a caving hut in Wales - stopping at a supermarket - and go caving Saturday and Sunday. We will aim to be back on Sunday before midnight. *Future trips* SRT (rope skills) trips will take place after the two Wales trips. You need to have been to sufficient tree training sessions such that we feel you're capable enough to come on these trips. Hopefully we managed to convince you to come caving with us. This introductory email will go over some of the basic information about the club. If you sign up for trips then I'll send more detailed info on what to expect closer to the time. *Slovenia summer expedition talk* We are holding a talk about our annual summer expedition to Slovenia. It will be held in the Union meeting room 3. ICCC is fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play a major role in Slovenia's cave exploration history. See facebook event for directions. *Tree Training* We will also be starting our weekly tree training sessions on tomorrow at 1pm after the talk and every Wednesday after at 12. It will take place in Princes Gardens, just look for people tangled in ropes in the trees. The sessions will teach you how to use all the necessary caving equipment to go on our later trips so it is not necessary for our fresher's trips. Come along, there's no obligation to join the club or even go on a trip, just have fun climbing and abseiling in trees. *Pub social meetings* As usual we will be meeting at the FiveSixEight bar from 7pm each Tuesday starting today, its a perfect chance to find out more about caving, our club, or sign up for trips. We normally have a red caving helmet with us so you can find us. *Trips* Trips are every two weeks and the two 'Fresher's' trips cost just £11 for new members. That includes all food, transport, equipment and accommodation. It's probably cheaper to go caving than stay at home.
