Hi all, I would firstly like to say that I hope you all enjoyed our first session of bridge (or at least President/Russian Tanks/a drink in the union...). It was a real pleasure to have so many of you come and try it out, and we really hope you keep coming back. I mentioned this to some of you yesterday, but I think it's worth repeating: if you're new, don't be disheartened if you couldn't play a hand of bridge confidently on your own by the end of one session. It always takes longer than that to get to grips with everything, but that should make you happy! The relative complexity of the rules means that bridge has really interesting and sophisticated strategy, which makes it fun to play again and again and again - noughts and crosses has easy rules but that's a very dull game! Lastly, I'd just like to say a massive thank you to all our old members who came along and helped yesterday; it really allowed everything to run smoothly and we couldn't have done it without you. Looking forward to seeing you next week, Your committee
