Hello everyone, Competition Nov 1st A quick reminder that tomorrow is our intra college competition. It would be great to see as many people there as possible as it will be fun and a great opportunity to improve. We would appreciate it if you filled out the form at the bottom of the email as it will help us with the organisation of the competition. However, we will try our best to accommodate anyone who shows up on the day. Please try to arrive before 6:15 at Blackett 741 so we can start promptly. It should finish between 8:15 and 8:30 with the results announced shortly afterwards. There will be prizes. Then, we will go through the hands interactively to help work out what everyone should’ve done on each hand. This will be a great learning experience and insight into how experienced bridge players think about each hand. Beginner’s session Nov 6th Also, on the 6th November, I am running a beginners and improvers bridge session in conjunction with Middlesex County Bridge Association. It is from 2:30-4:30. The bridge will take place on online software called RealBridge which is essentially a cross between FaceTime and bridge for those who don’t know. For those interested follow the link provided and a link to join will appear 24 hours before the session. Membership We have a lot of exciting plans for this year including some fun socials like karaoke night and for the first time ever we have been invited to send a team to the world university championships. Therefore, we need a lot of financial support from the union for all our plans to be realised. To get full funding from the Union, we need to hit our quota of 30 members. Currently we have 21. We would greatly appreciate it if you became a member. Also it will give you a vote in the upcoming Bridge Autumn Elections, which I believe takes place next week.
