This is basically a knock-out tournament organised by the English Bridge Union that occurs throughout the year, with the first match around December.
We're looking to form two teams of 4-6 players each that will compete in this. Sign up
here by the end of the week if you're interested to playing for us. Please
email us, or talk to me on Tuesday, for any questions on this.
Internal pairs competition
Once again, we're holding our
annual internal pairs competition, where members can pair up and compete for
glory. Currently, we're looking to have this on 19th Nov. More details to follow as I attempt to figure out the union's computer system works - unfortunately, technology continues to elude me as it always does.
London Cup
London Cup is a single-day event team match (four players in a team) to be held on
1st Dec (somewhere in London, I would think). Unfortunately, I've not been able to get more details for now, but do keep your calendars open for this if you're interested in trying out competitive play, as there
will be players from universities all over the UK participating, and it's open to players of all skill levels, meaning that it's a great starting point to get a feel of things.
