Hi guys,
WHO'S EXCITED TO BE BACK?
I hope you all had a great Christmas and New year and are pumped to play some bridge!
As normal, Tuesday, 6-8pm in Blackett 741. Biscuits. Union trip. Good craic. Need I say more?
See you all there!
Laura 😘
I've said it before, but just in case: the dinner is on Tuesday at 19:20. If you turn up at 7:20, you will be lonely, but you will have my undying respect. Especially if you come back 12 hours later for a second madras.
I'm emailing from a dark, dark place. R is broken. Latex hates me. And worst of all, spotify will only play Tik Tok on repeat.
But there is light at the end of the tunnel. For the first-rate people who have signed up for the Christmas dinner at least.
Anyway, the details have finally been released:
We will be having a top-quality curry* at Aladin in Brick Lane. This is the address:
132 Brick Lane
London E1 6RU
A few things to note:
We will be meeting at 7:20
It's bring your own booze
I have reviewed all 1000 pages of the bridge constitution, and have discovered that any member that orders a chicken tikka masala is to have their membership revoked, before they are defenestrated. You have been warned.
Your committee.
*Hopefully. If not it was Martha's idea.
Merry Christmas!
Tomorrow we will be having our last bridge session of 2018! Make sure you're in Blackett Rm 741 as usual.
Why do we not have a session next week I hear you ask? Well, because next week is the hotly anticipated Bridge Christmas Dinner.
We will be heading over to Brick Lane for a top quality curry, instead of our normal bridge session. The food will cost about £10-20 per head, and you can bring your own alcohol.
We need to confirm our preliminary booking asap, so if you're interested in celebrating a great term of bridge, please fill out this form by the end of Tuesday:

Hopefully we'll see you all tomorrow and next Tuesday!

Well hello there.
First off, thank you to everyone who came to the London Cup and helped make it such a great success (and an especially big thank you to those of you who helped set up or tidy away). It was a top-quality day! The full results (team rankings, pair rankings, travellers and scorecards) are available here:
http://www.bridgewebs.com/cgi-bin/bwom/bw.cgi?pid=display_rank&event=201811…
Secondly, we have bridge tomorrow, at the usual time in the usual place.
Lastly, to our more experienced players, the Young Chelsea are holding their Bridge Marathon next Saturday. This will be 12 hours of awesome fun bridge (or 12 hours of headaches and recriminations). Two YC regulars have very kindly offered to pay the entry fees for all Juniors, so it will be totally free! Sign up is via this website

If you are interested but unsure of whether you are an appropriate standard, get in touch with me first.
Have a great week!

Hello all,
Thank you to everyone who signed up for the London Cup this Sunday.
We’ve now closed the entries for it, but if you’ve signed up, could you please come to the Sir Alexander Fleming building for 10:15 am on Sunday!
Hope you all have fun!
Your Bridge Committee
Hi all,
We still have some spaces left for the London Cup! This is a tournament designed specifically to give new players their first taste of competitive bridge, so you should all get involved! It is happening this Sunday at Imperial, and because we are hosting it will be completely free for you guys - there simply won't be another opportunity as good as this.
To those of you that have already signed up - if you have a particular partner and team in mind, then please email me with that information, so I don't pair you up with someone else!

See you all on Saturday,
