Hi everyone! Tomorrow we will be focusing on the *game strategy*. There will be a short talk about both declarer and defensive play in the beginning so don't be late if you want to hear it! :P Also, don't feel discouraged if you don't get the bidding bit straight away. It takes some time and practice, but it will all make sense in the end. :) The session tomorrow will be taking place in *Blackett 539* at *6pm* as usual. PS! Hello everyone! It was so nice to see so many new faces at the session this week. I hope you all had a good time and that I'll be seeing you again this Monday. I am sorry that I could only stay for an hour, but I am sure Dominic and Erik did a great job with teaching. Even if the game seems to be hard to grasp right now, I can assure you that it will get easier, more interesting and more beautiful over time. :) The session tomorrow will be taking place at the same place, *Blackett 539*, at *6pm*. This time we will focus on *bidding*, so you can get familiar with the heart of the game. There will also be some *drinks and snacks* available. :) Also, if you would like to practice bridge *online*, there are several pages that are *free* and can help a lot. Welcome to Bridge Club!

Dear all, I'd like to say welcome everyone who signed up at the Fresher's Fair this year, and hello to all of our returning members. It was great to see so many people on Tuesday and I hope that I will get to know all of you over this coming year. We have lots planned and I can't wait to get started! First of all I'd like to introduce the committee. I'm Dominic, this year's president, and am in charge of organising the club and the various events that we will be partaking in. Joining me is Erik, our treasurer, who looks after the finances of the club and Stella, our secretary, who will be sending out e-mails to keep you up to date with what's going on in the club. Our first meeting is going to be next Monday 12th October in Blackett 539. This is in the Physics building on the 5th floor; I have attached the floorplan to help you find your way - if you have any difficulty finding us on the day then feel free to contact me on 07748995181. If you haven't played bridge before, then don't worry - during our first session we will be teaching bridge from scratch. We will also have several tables set up so that if you do know how to play then you can jump straight in. There will also be some snacks, tea and coffee available throughout the session!
