Hello all, First off, can I wish you all a very happy Pancake Day. Hopefully you all got our email yesterday about cancelling the Radio Bar Night tonight. Unfortunately a number of our committee are struggling with time management and so we decided that it would be better to focus all effort into making sure that the AGM runs smoothly! THE AGM - Next Tuesday, 15/3/2011 - The Shared Studio We are entering into the most important time for IC RADIO, the elections for next years committee. A lot of our current committee are graduating this year and we really need people to step up! The roles that you can go for are: STATION MANAGER - In ultimate control of everything that happens at the station. You need to know how everything at the station works, ideally doing another committee job for a year or two before hand. Email manager@icradio.com for more details HEAD OF MUSIC - In charge of a team that looks through and reviews all the music we get into the station. Email music@icradio.com for more info TREASURER - A VERY important job. You will get training on how to do the job so no real previous experience is required, email manager@icradio.com for more info. TECHNICAL MANAGER - The position that keeps the station going. Our technical side has always been the real strength of IC RADIO and we have a history of great, committed tech manager who will always help each other out. Email technical@icradio.com for details HEAD OF PROGRAMMING - An extremely important job, you manage and run all of the radio content that we produce! Responsible for the initial training of new presenters and then for the weekly schedule. Email programming@icradio for details. DISCO MANAGER - In charge of making us SGI (self generated income), which is how we fund social events. Email manager@icradio.com HEAD OF PRODUCTION - In charge of our recording studio and live sessions. This has really exploded of the past two years and something I hope will continue when we are gone, email manager@icradio.com for details. HEAD OF PROMOTIONS - Promotions are an essential part of radio and something that can always be improved. Email manager@icradio.com if you have any ideas or have questions. SECRETARY - In charge of keeping minutes of committee meetings, a small role but one that is absolutely essential! Email manager@icradio.com SOCIAL SECRETARY - Organises social events for the station. Email manager@icradio.com There is a sign up sheet on the back of the main door into radio, if you want to go for a committee position then you can put your name down there. Don't be scared to write over the boxes, it was made far too small!If you can';t get someone to second you then just write your name down and I'll come along and second you ;) Equally if you're not sure then you can just stand from the floor on the actual night. So yeah, sorry about the length of this email but hopefully there's a bit mre information for you all. The main thing is that we need as many people to come down to the AGM as possible (to make it legitimate). There will be free beer and soft drinks, so why not!!!
