Hey guys, As some of you may know, we have been left secretary-less by the departure of Tim. I think I speak for everyone when I wish him the best of luck with everything, and we're all very sorry to see you go! As we can't actually operate as a society without a secretary under union rules, an impromptu summer election is in order. So a little bit about the position, ripped from our most recent AGM: "SECRETARY - In charge of keeping minutes of committee meetings, a small role but one that is absolutely essential!" Basically, it involves minimal effort - just turn up to meetings and write down what happens. If you don't know how to take minutes or even what minutes are, let me assure you that it's easy. And if you're especially worried, I've got a mini-book about it. As in, about five pages worth. Anyone who wants to stand should send me an email with a max. 200 word manifesto, and get 2 others to email me to second you. I figure we should sort this out ASAP, so we'll have ONE WEEK for manifestos and seconding, and we'll have voting open for one week after. As for the position of disco manager, unless anyone has any strong objections or is keen to stand for the role, I'm quite happy to give it to Alejandro Roldan-Gomendio if he's still as enthusiastic as he was about it at the AGM.
