Hi, Manifestos for the elections are below. *7 pm tomorrow in shared studio* (next to radio) There are *several uncontested positions*, including station manger which is a bit disappointing. I was station manager last year - happy to meet with anyone who is thinking about taking up any of the roles tomorrow to talk about them over coffee :) We will be taking nominations from the floor on the evening and it is still possible to stand. Running order: *Station Manager (no nominations received)* Head of programming Secretary Deputy Station Manager Head of Music Deputy Head of Music Technical Manager Social Secretary Production Manager *Treasurer (no nominations received)* *Head of Training (no nominations received)* *Head of promotions (no nominations received)* *Head of Discos (no nominations received)* Thanks, George Returning Officer *Head of programming* Robert Garside I have been a member of the ICradio for the last 2 years and I really want to give back to a society that has given me lots of enjoyment. I would be a awesome head of programming as I am willing to put the time in to organise and maintain a programming schedule that rewards ICradios most prolific and reliable shows. I am also organised and intend to help with training new members of ICradio. Tristan Dell Manifesto not yet received *Secretary:* Joshua Sucher: “I’m a Second year in my first year in radio and believe myself to be a good candidate for Secretary. If I were elected I would; - Keep everybody in the committee fully aware of what is happening within radio so that anything that will affect them will be known to them. - Likewise, keep everybody in radio aware of the major points addressed in meetings. - More communication between different shows. - An organised trip (using my experience as social secretary for dodgeball) – sorted out with the president and social secretary - to the SRA conference.” *Head of Music* Thanos Vlontzos Quantum musicologist for quantum vibes. I am running for head of music with a vision. A vision of amazing music playing in sustain, a vision of millions of people tuning in for the music of icradio.com. Vote for me for music you will love. Long live the croc *Deputy Head of Music* Sebastian Gonzato Like everyone at the Radio, I like music a lot. I'm mainly into electronic music and I try to keep up to date with all the new music that gets released in this broad genre which is why I think I am in quite a good position to curate the Radio's music library. The only reason I'm not running for Head of Music is because I'm going to be on the committee of two other societies and I don't think I'll manage to be very effective if I take on 3 committee roles. *Technical Manager* Robert Schussler Since the second week of this academic year I've been involved to get the radio studio and the recording studio working. Besides the hardware side of getting the places running, I've been also responsible or heavily involved for getting sound working on the live TV broadcasts that we did this term and helped a lot setting up the sparse recording sessions that have been undertaken. *IT Manager* Luke Granger-Brown Manifesto not yet received *Social Secretary* Adam Gellatly My name is Adam Gellatly and I am standing for IC Radio social secretary. At the moment, I feel that there is a lack of communication between the various shows on the station; it seems like each programme and presenter exists in their allotted hour, meeting only the people who present before and after them. I want to change that. Our social secretaries this year have come up with some great ideas, including IC Radio week, but I want to ensure such events take place from the very beginning of the coming year. To ensure that new and returning presenters are a part of a society where everyone knows each other. Ideally, I hope to organise enough quality events so that, by the end of the year, guest appearing on someone else’s show is not something that needs to be forced, but something that happens regularly between friends. A more integrated radio society for all. *Production Manager* Arran Hobson-Sayers To be production manager it’s required to be organised and knowledgeable. Since this is now the second year I have been part of ICRadio I believe I have the knowledge and expertise to enable me to carry out this position well. Additionally I am organised shown by the operations I carried out as Vice Chair of RAG this year and the activities I have organised as part of the CGCU committee. Most importantly however, I have desire to learn even more about the workings of ICRadio and its production while wanting to get even more involved. I believe that holding the role of Production Manger will enable me to do this, while my drive to achieve my desire will mean I will do my best to ensure that I learn any skills necessary to carry out my position to a better degree.
