Hi everyone! The media group AGM is happening on Monday 3rd of June 5pm in Felix back office (way hey). For those of you don't know, IC Radio STOIC Felix and Photosoc to name a few are managed by the Media Executive committee - they interact with the Union and regulate our money-spending. Anyone interested in Union politics, or if you think you can contribute to the way the media societies operate, definitely come along. 5 positions up for grabs, Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and new this year, Technical Officer and Development Officer. I've attached some info about each role, but here's my take below too: Chair - Presidente of all Media societies, lots of Union contact and financial control for all you power-trippin'-hungries out there. Treasurer - Approves society spending, and helps out at budgeting so that we can buy fun toys. As usual with any Treasurer position, looks particularly bangin' on the old CV. Secretary - Takes the minutes at termly meetings (and is free to embellish with aplomb). Technical Officer - In charge of our toys and reigning tech king/queen at events like Varsity, Elections, etc. Development Officer - Marketing, promotion of inter-society love, general all around Good Guy Greg. There will be a nominations paper in the station tomorrow that you can sign up to, get anyone passing to second you as well. Of course, we will accept nominations during the AGM if noone else stands, so come along! Feel free to email me with any questions, radio queries, or even if dem examies are getting you down.
