Hi all, We've managed to get a weekly "IC Radio Show Listings" column in Felix, which is the perfect opportunity to make your listening figures skyrocket! Your show name, time, and an up-to-150-character tagline (like "Eardrum-bursting mix of electro-funk and Serbian death-jazz hosted by Jane Doe and Joe Bloggs") will be printed to an audience of 10,000 people every week! All you need to do is login to the members' area, press "Show Homepage Editor" and edit the "Show Tagline" (thanks Joe our Technical Manager for implementing this)! The weekly listings will be sent off to Felix on Tuesday evening, for publication that Friday (the listing will be Friday-Thursday). So you have to schedule your show by the normal means ("Show Request") by the Tuesday evening before the Friday before your show (if that makes sense…!) The format (in Felix) will be something like: Thursday 28 February 10:00 – 11:00 Morning Musings Some funky tagline here! 16:00 – 17:00 The Communist Propaganda Show Some funky tagline here! 17:00 – 18:00 The Jumble Sale Some funky tagline here! 23:00 – 00:00 Skank On Air Some funky tagline here! In summary: - Please update your tagline (members' area, Show Homepage Editor) and sell your show in 150 characters! - Make sure you schedule your show by the Tuesday before the Friday before your show. If you broadcast a Thursday show you will need to schedule the slot a week and a half in advance, or it will not be in Felix! Also, please please please run for a committee position as Aislinn said! It'll be SO MUCH FUN, and there's SO much exciting stuff planned for next year. A few positions still have nobody running - like Disco Hire Manager (you'll make most of our income by renting out and being in charge of lots of big speakers and lights) and Music Manager, which gets you loads of exclusive invitations to gigs and puts you in charge of our amazing extensive music collection - and Head of Promotions, where you spearhead our popularity and campaigns and raise our listening figures - and Treasurer, where you're in charge of all expenditure, and Secretary, and Social Secretary, and Head of Programming and Head of Production! Sign your name up on the sheet behind the main door to IC Radio and, in any case, come to the AGM on Tuesday... :)
