Hi guys Hopefully everyone who wants a show etc has one and they're all going well, now is the time to get promoting! We can do this in a number of ways: 1. POSTERS: Anyone can put up posters promoting their show or you can send them my way and i'll help. Just bear in mind two things. They MUST have the imperial union logo on them and MUST be stuck up with blue tack (no sellotape). I've already used up our only warning on this front (woops) so next time the station get's a fine. 2. THE SNAP: This is the 10 page 'zine i put together for the Fresher's Fair that hopefully encouraged lots of you to join! I want to get a second edition on the go containing the schedule and show descriptions. A show description can be as little or as much as you want: Who you are, when you're on, what tunes you play and all the hijinks in your show! It can be just a line or two or a fully fledged feature like this https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Bt2ls3ilWcRvmtRj69uVnLuadeUaO0uMpdINFQ12... . So send me any details, pictures etc you want included and it'll go in the 'zine. 3. Felix: I'm going to try get an article in felix, again promoting shows, so for this send me a one or two line description, something short and snappy that sums up your show real quick for the reader. 4. AER Lingus competition: So this is a bit of a random one but the station has been approached with a competition offer: Two free flights on AER Lingus' new route London to Belfast for us to give away as part of a promotional competition for the airline. The format we're thinking is 4 questions spread over different shows in a week all at a specific time e.g Q1 6pm Monday, Q2 6pm Wednesday etc. Now there has been some interest in this and the time is yet to be decided but if you're interested in hosting a question on your show then message me ASAP. We'll hope to promote this competition a lot around campus so it's a great way to boost the listener numbers of your show. There we have it!
