Hi again everyone! Apologies for the spam, but just wanted to let you know that we solved the broken slider mystery. The M-Audio speakers had been put up on the top of ALICE's wooden housing and consequently fell off, damaging the slider to beyond repair. However, we have found a replacement that we're going to install post exams. I know the live mixing DJs are keen to get better speakers in the studio, but for the moment we have removed the M-Audios (we can't afford for them to fall off again, because ALICE can't be damaged and also those are our rental speakers!!) as the radio stand doesn't seem to be able to support them. We are going to look into better alternatives. I also haven't forgotten about my tenuous promise to invest in KRK-Rokits. Hopefully I'll be able to get that done before I hand over the reins to George next year, but keep your fingers crossed. Also, if anyone has the portable field recorder, please let me know!
