Hi guys, There are two technical issues you need to be aware of today 1) New Hard Disk Installation You cannot at present access icradio.com<http://icradio.com>. Why? Do you remember that icradio.com<http://icradio.com> went down after christmas? This is because one of our hard disks (1 of 4) went kerput. Today a new one was delivered and at present is being loaded into our Network storage device. However the process is lengthy (its taken three hours to be at 40%) and all icradio services are unavailable during this time. 2) Sustain and the main Studio Computer is down Why? We got reports that the computer would not turn on. This computer is always running and is responsible for playing music whilst the studio is unmanned. It would appear that the power unit inside the computer box has died. This was completely unexpected and we are going to insert a new one tomorrow at 11amish but we cannot guarantee that it will be fixed by then. I urge you to not interfere with the computer at any time other than to use Rivendell Show panels on the touch screen and to browse the internet. I should also point out that there is a second computer (albeit awkward to get to) in the other corner of the studio. This one is solely for the internet and you will find that works much much faster when it comes to browsing the internet. I would also like to apologise for not giving warning to the station's downtime. To be honest, I wasn't sure how long this process would take and I foolishly assumed that it wouldn't take more than an hour or so. I hope you understand that running an online radio station is a troublesome task that relies heavily on all of our computers. All the computers you see at the station have specific roles and should be treated with care. If you ever spot anything please report it asap and we will fix it as soon as we possibly can.
