Hi! It’s that weird time of year when exams are over so I imagine that most of you are looking for something to satisfy your need of a workload, stress and a deadline. Enter, The Student Radio Awards - student radio's version of the Oscars. There are thirteen categories (best male, female, journalism, newcomer, entertainment, chart, interview etc), with the awards being handed out at a lush ceremony at The O2 arena in November. This year IC Radio wants to make an impact with as many entries, nominations and wins as possible - but to do this we need your help. You can nominate yourself and the first step of the process is to decide which category/ies you would like to enter (http://www.studentradioawards.co.uk/). Then you need make audio compilations of the best bits from your show and submit by the deadline of 21st July. To help you do this I have attached a "five point guide” and we would actively encourage as many of you as possible to enter so that we are able to keep our place amongst student radio's big boys. The guide will help you enter – I can't guarantee a win as I have no previous experience of that. If you are interested or even slightly curious as to entering then please fire me an email back as I am looking to set up a support network between people entering. I will be available to provide as much help and support as I can through the next month. Peace and love, Roushan Key dates: Entry deadline: 21st July Nominations announced: early October Award ceremony: 11th November
