Dear all,
Regrettably, the West basement will be out of action for a short time on Thursday. Fortunately this is only between 10am and 11.30am and so will hopefully not disrupt anyones activities too much. Please let users of your spaces know that the facilities will not be accessible during this short period of time.
Thanks,
Anthony

Afternoon Alex and Andrew,
My apologies to you both, I was given slightly different news initially regarding the shutdown planned for this Thursday, 7/2/13 from 10.00 to 11.30 hours.
Please see the information below; I have just updated with the Residential block in the West, East and South Wings.
Please note that the outage will not affect the North Wing, Union however the basements of the East and West will be affected.
Alex I understand is making arrangements to deal with this now regarding the Student Production offices and meeting rooms.
Andrew I apologise as I am not sure how this will affect your planned activities in the Chaplaincy area. I will try and call you shortly to discuss.
Kind regards,
Joanna

Afternoon Both,
Just a reminder of the power shutdown this Thursday, 7 February, 2013 at 10.00 hours until 11.30 hours.
Items we discussed as follow:
Lifts will be grounded please ensure notices are used and students informed that they cannot use lifts for 09.30 to 11.30 hours. I understand that you will be making arrangements for mobility impaired students to remain outside of the building.
Hot and cold water will not be available, therefore any showers should be completed by 09.00 hours, any abolitions involving the toilet facilities should be completed by 09.30 too. Please ensure that students understand that water taps must be closed and toilets cannot be flushed between these times.
Heating will be affected during this period, however this complies with the agreed Winter period space heating requirements.
Laundry Facilities Not to be used after 09.30 hours.
All power will cease therefore all electrical sockets will not function for lamps, PCs, electrical appliances, fridges/freezers (please ensure the latter items doors are kept shut in order to maintain the cold temperatures required for food storage).
Lighting - will not function other than emergency lighting, therefore the lighting levels will be very low. I would encourage students and occupants not to move around the halls and either depart by 09.30 or stay in their rooms.
Kitchens will be out of bounds for students, however Resource have agreed via Philip Warden to allow the cleaning staff access to clear kitchens and rubbish only, all staff must be briefed regarding the conditions they are working in for this period of time. If there are any concerns then these must be risk assessed by Resource in liaison with ourselves.
Access control and the Fire Panel will be maintained throughout.
Security Monitoring will be unaffected and additional guards will be available if required.
Please ensure those affected area informed, any further queries then please advise?
Kind regards,
