Dear all,

Voting is now open for the position of IT Manager. Below you will find the two 100-word manifestos for the two candidates.

It should go without saying how important an IT manager is for a radio station that relies on an online listenership.

To vote, simply reply to this email with your chosen candidates name. Voting will close on the 10th April, Midday.

Thank you and enjoy your holidays/revision,
Ronan McAdam
ICRadio Secretary

My name is Padraic and I would like to be your IT Manager next year.
I am very comfortable with Linux,  having used it both personally and for research for almost 5 years now. I have also worked as a web-developer for an Imperial startup since July, predominantly writing and maintaining python server-code. I would really enjoy getting stuck in on the technical side of IC Radio, and with my experience I think I can really help keep your Radio running as smoothly as possible.

As your IC Radio IT Manager, I will endeavour to ensure that all things IT are functioning correctly. I have had much experience with Linux, Python and Django and love doing all sorts of random amazing hacks to make things work about 20% cooler. However, since the email was explicit in its instruction to include a "100-word" manifesto, I am now padding this manifesto out with complete and utter nonsense that no one will actually read, because I like following instructions to the letter - which is why I'd be really great as your IC Radio IT Manager. Thank you.
