It was great to meet so many new faces at Beer n Biscuits last Thursday! Just got a couple reminders and notices for you this week.

Induction notes: 

Thank you to everyone who came along to inductions this week! A PDF containing induction notes has been attached to this email!

The induction notes are attached to this email. It would be beneficial for returning member to read these through as a couple things have changed this year.

The main things to note are:

  • You will receive an email on the day of your show, please read this email and follow the instructions to confirm your attendance. This email will also allow you to opt in/out of an automatic upload of a recording of your show to the SoundCloud archive. 
  • Please use the radio Spotify account and look up your playlist from there - save it as "your show name - show date". This is so listeners can find your show on demand, and will increase engagement with IC Radio and improve listener counts! 
  • We have a key card at Beit Security, all members will be on the key list.
  • Buy membership here ASAP, it takes a week or so for the list to be updated. 
  • Message the WhatsApp chat with any urgent issues.

The new schedule is already up on the website. If you haven't booked a slot yet, check the schedule and submit a request using this form.

Jingle competition: 

Jingles are a big part of radio broadcast advertising and as we lost all the old jingles in a system crash last year, we need a new standard IC Radio jingle. The winning jingle will be catchy and original, and clearly advertise the station. Submissions must be sent to icr@ic.ac.uk as an mp3 file. 

Drop-in Sessions: 

We will be hosting weekly socials every Wednesday evening, 8 till late, starting next week 25th October. 

These will be vibey socials in the shared studio space adjoining the station. An opportunity to practice your mixing skills, share your favourite tunes, and meet other cool crocs ;)
