Dear IC Radio,
You may remember we got in touch a couple of months ago to let you know that Imperial College students in indie band Wolf Tracks were taking part in this year's Uni Music League. Well,
if you didn't know already, we're delighted to tell you that they've made it to the grand final of the competition on Friday 20th April at London's amazing ULU gig venue.
Considering that there were initially 58 bands from 21 different universities in the running at the start, they've done bloody well to get as far as they have. However, I'm sure you're
as keen as they are to see them crowned as this year's winners, especially as the prize is an exclusive recording session with mega-producer, Charlie Hugall. He's worked with the likes of Florence + The Machine, Ed Sheeran and Kaiser Chiefs in the past...so
it's a pretty big deal in terms of getting feet in doors within the music industry and such.
Basically, we are writing to you to see if you could help promote the final to Imperial College students in any way you can because Wolf Tracks will need their support. Every round so far
has chosen winners based on audience votes, but this is the time where those votes will count the most. There will be a chance to choose your winner online (at
www.unimusicleague.com) but whoever tops the league table will just get ten additional votes at the final. It's the crowd's voting on the night that will be deciding who wins... so you need to help
us get as many people down there as possible!
As this is the UK's largest student-based battle of the bands, Wolf Tracks really are acting as ambassadors of Imperial College's musical talent. It would be great if you could help back
them in return. There's plenty to try and coax fellow students along to the event. Amazing live bands aside (the other finalists Miss Terry Blue (King's College), Shout Timber (UCL) and Ghouls (University of Westminster) are all cracking acts too) we've got
DJ Billy Clark from DIY Radio playing some tunes and a discounted bar helping the drinks flow all night. Selected beers and mixers will be priced at a teensy
£1.50 which means that it really should be a party to remember.
Tickets and information are available on the Facebook event page
https://www.facebook.com/events/120556164734749 with advance tickets being only
£4.50. If you want to wait til the night, they're only
£6 on the door. If you want to find out more about Wolf Tracks, head over to their Facebook page on
https://www.facebook.com/wolftracksmusic (I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you could give that a little plugging too...).
Also, here you can find a link to their profile video, which can be used for the promotional purposes on social media:

In rerturn for your collaboration we will be happy to give you a few freebies and of course we can discuss further possibilities of mutual promotion too. Please
don't hesitate to get in touch if you wanted to ask us anything, but for the mean time, I am attaching a little interview we conducted with the band so you can get to know them a little better, as well as Press Release, in case you wish to include it in the
university media or newsletter.
P.S. It would be fantastic, if you could pass this on to Cahal, as I was unable to get her contact details. Thank you in advance.
We will be looking forward to hearing from you soon and meeting you at the final.
Best regards,
