Hi all! Some really fun stuff on my email update this week: Important interview/press release opportunity Calling all interviewers and presenters! On Tuesday afternoon, 5th of March, IC Radio has been invited to a press event and need two people to attend and partake in media interviews. I'm not going to disclose all the details in case we all overexcite ourselves, but it is a pretty big deal. If you're free from about 2pm on Tuesday and you feel like your interviewing skills are up for a challenge, email me for details on how to apply! AGM and FREEEEEEEEE Beer & Biscuits! It's that time of year again! Beer & Biscuits round two is in the Physics Common Room (Blackett Level 8) is on from 7pm on Tuesday evening. The roles up for grabs are Station Manager, Treasurer, Secretary, Head of Music, Technical Manager, Head of Programming, Head of Production, Disco Manager, Head of Promotions, Social Secretary, and Assistant Station Manager. Come along, eat and drink yourself silly, and maybe walk away with an exciting role in radio for next year! :) Varsity coverage IC Radio is going to be doing live coverage of the Varsity rugby match from the Stoop on 13th of March. We'd love to have some radio commentators or crowd interviewers or general craic addicts for the match! We need to have a list of people attending confirmed by Wednesday 6th of March. Tours of 6 Music, Xfm, and BBC Radio 2 The committee has managed to make contact with the above radio stations to organise free tours of their studios. Xfm can take up to 10 people, and the others can take about 5 each, but we can try to organise some more staggered tours if the demand is high. Elections coverage If any shows are planning to interview candidates for the Union elections etc. next week, please get in contact with me before you do. There are a few rules to do with promotions for the elections that we have to adhere to, in the interest of fairness to all the candidates. Also, we are currently looking into the possibility of streaming the STOIC election hustings on Thursday, but we have yet to get confirmation of that. If you want to help out at all, let us know!
