Welcome (back) to IC Radio!!! I’ve put all the start of year admin at the end of the email as there are a couple cool things I wanted to flag at the start – most importantly the return of Beer and Biscuits - so please read to the end!

If you’re new, this traditional social is exactly what is says on the tin - there will be 🍺 (and non-alcoholic alternatives) and there will be 🍪. This is a chance to meet other crocodilian radio fanatics, quiz the committee on what’s coming up for the year and chill out with some tunes!🐊 😎
Are you a DJ?
Then, join this group chat to find out more about DJ opportunities with IC Radio. DJing with IC Radio extends beyond shows on the station, we want to support our community of DJs in sharing their sets with a wider audience, with opportunities ranging from Modulate discos to drop-in studio sessions and tiny desk concerts.

Studio inductions – all members need to do this before booking a show.
We will be running inductions over the next two weeks, sign up here. Meet outside Beit West Basement.
Finding us
The studio is in the West Basement of Beit – turn left as you enter the quad, go inside the building and down the stairs, continue straight down the corridor and the studio is on your right.
Studio access
We are trying to sort a key card and list of members system with the union and will update when this is sorted. But for now, the studio door will be left open – you can close it whilst you are running your show, but please prop the door open when you leave.
Membership 🐊
IC Radio membership is rather reasonable £12 per year, and you can buy that here.
NB you must have radio membership to access all our equipment and book a slot on the air.
Booking a slot - fill in this form to request a radio show.
Burton, our head of programming, will review all bookings and update you on how the schedule turns out. Please fill this out promptly as later submissions may not be accommodated with their first choices. There is no preferential treatment to returning shows this year. We aim to make it fair for everyone, so we may resort to a fortnightly schedule if slots are in high demand.
As a student campus radio, we want our programming to reflect the diversity of the people and interests found on campus, so we want a range of shows on IC Radio from STEM podcasts to underground DJ-sets to pop-culture chat shows and sporting debates. The most important thing is that you turn up for your show – we don’t want dead air!
