Just wanted to share some information from the Careers Service with you all.
The Careers service have organised a set of three events about careers in Science Communication, Science Policy and Medical Communication. The events are hour long, lunchtime sessions delivered by people who work in these areas who will talk about their experiences and will give you a chance of ask questions and network.
Here is more information and booking links for each event:
* Life In... Science Communication and Policy with the Institute of Cancer Research (in-person event)
* What’s it like to work in Science Policy? In this talk, Dr Abigail Bloy will share her experience in the field with some practical advice for those interested. There will also be a chance to have your questions about a career in science policy answered.
* This session will take place on the South Kensington campus, in the Careers Service office on level 5 of the Sherfield Building.

* Life In... Science Policy with the Civil Service Fast Stream (online event)
* What’s it like to work in the Civil Service? In this talk, Eleanor Maume will share her experience in the field with some practical advice for those interested. There will also be a chance to have your questions about a career in the Civil Service and the Fast Stream process answered.
* This session will take place online via Microsoft Teams.

* Life In... Medical Communications with Costello Medical (online event)
* What's it like to work in Medical Communications? In this talk, Sonia Shaw will share her experience in the field with some practical advice for those interested in pursuing a career in science, away from the lab and academia. There will also be a chance to have your questions about a career in a medical communications consultancy answered.
* This session will take place online via Microsoft Teams.
