Dear Radio members, For those of you still in the dark, this year ICRadio will be hosting the Student Radio Association (SRA) Training Day on Wednesday the 11th of October! Don't miss out on an opportunity to hear 6 guest speakers from the radio industry and a chance to meet other stations from your region. In the evening there will be the SRA Nominations Awards party at Venue 229. If you can't afford to miss out on lectures or sports during the day, be sure to come to this! Reminder, Schedule wipe for the new academic year 30/09/17

Hey All, Just a quick reminder that the icradio show schedule will be wiped clear at 1200 hours (midday) on 30/09/17. To apply for a new slot, please email IC Radio Programming icrprogramming(a)imperial.ac.uk<mailto:icrprogramming@imperial.ac.uk> AFTER 1200 hrs on 30/09/17 with the name of your show and the requested time slot. In the interest of fairness; SLOT REQUESTS RECEIVED BEFORE 1200 HRS 30/09/17 WILL NOT BE ACTED ON, and SHOWS WILL BE ASSIGNED ON A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED BASIS. For example, a slot request received at 1159 will not be acted on, and an email that arrives at 1200 hrs asking for 1200-1300 on Wednesday will get that slot instead of an email asking for the same slot that is received at 1201 hrs. Requested slots in prime time, for example on Wednesday lunchtime and to a lesser extent other lunchtimes, should generally be no longer than one hour, as we want to make sure a decent number of people get good slots and no-one’s hogging the choicest airwaves too much. Longer slots during times that are less in-demand like Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays should be ok, as long as you’re not asking for something silly like a six-hour slot on Mondays or something. I’ll be refreshing my email at 1200 hours on the day and will let you know as soon as possible whether you have your slot or not so you can ask for another if one’s already taken. Schedule wipe for the new academic year 30/09/17

Hey All, Long time no see, hope that everyone’s still enjoying the last dregs of summer and aren’t thinking too hard about heading back to Uni. However, the start of the new year is indeed looming, and with it the opportunity for icradio to de-clutter the current show schedule. The schedule will be wiped on 30/09/17 to clear out the older and less active shows and give new shows a chance to establish themselves in decent slots come the new term. To clarify, SHOWS THEMSELVES WILL NOT BE DELETED, the only thing that’ll get changed is the allocation of regular slots on the station’s schedule, which you can view on the icradio members’ area. As you may have noticed, the wipe is going down before the fresher’s fair. This means that you guys, the current icradio members, get a bit of advanced notice, so if you’re intending to be active this year and put out loads of top-quality content in a particular slot then you’ve got the chance to get it. I’ll be sending out another reminder email a week before the wipe goes down, it’ll be first come first served so make sure to be fast to get the slot you want! Long Live the Croc! Thomas
