Hey folks,
We've been approached by a charity called IntoUniversity. They encourage
people from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply for university. They're
going to run a one off weekly long course about journalism and they've
written to us asking for help.
They'd like to run a couple of hour long sessions in November with us and
STOIC, this is what they're planning:
"In the morning we hope to visiting Kensington Palace and doing some
> ‘investigative journalism’ where students will be able to interview
> characters and explore the stories of the Palaces. It would be amazing if
> they were then able to use your equipment and expertise to report back on
> what they found. It would also be brilliant if you (or someone from the
> radio station) were able to talk a little about what your society does,
> what you study and what you hope to do in the future as students tend to
> find this very engaging."
Rosy from the charity is coming in on Wednesday this week to talk to Jonny
from STOIC. I'm working in Oxford at the moment so I can't go. Is anyone
based in London willing to go and take an hour out to go and show her
around the studio and chat about what we can do?
It sounds like it'd be great fun and it's a great cause, if anyone can help
out that'd be fantastic!
Thanks everyone, have a nice summer
George
