We’re updating sustain every week from now on and need it to be representative of our station as well as appeal to the masses so… SPECIALIST SHOWS: I need you to send me a hot track from your weekly show or, even better, just mark it when you SUBMIT YOUR PLAYLIST! We’re also presenting the opportunity to plug your own show during sustain hours along with the relevant track, so something like ‘this is track X played on Specialist Show; tune in at this time to hear more like it…’ (you can record it yourselves or request us to do it for you and it’ll be played every time along with the song) much love, The Music Team PS: mainstream people can also voice their opinion on what to import, in general though Oli's got this covered...

Morning guys, IC RADIO are going to have a bit of a sociable drink this FRIDAY. Everyone is invited, come to EASTSIDE bar (underneath Eastside Hall) from 5PM. Hopefully you'll be able to spot us if you've not seen us much, we'll be the ones wearing our IC RADIO t-shirts. It would be great if you can come, especially if you haven't been to active in radio this year - there is still time to get involved! Also, on Saturday we will be having a bit of a Spring-Clean/Drink/Pizza sesh in the station. Come down from 5PM if you want to help out. Keep up the good work this term guys, and keep submitting your play lists. A few of you might have noticed that you are now getting email reminders to submit a play list as soon as your show is finished, this is really important for us to keep our records up to date and in the good books of the record companies. Another change is the new show-booking system. Scheduling 48 hours in advance. (IMPORTANT)

Hello everyone! Head of Programming here. You all know about the new "Schedule your own slot" system at IC Radio and it's been working brilliantly apart from a few minor teething problems. So I would quickly like to address them here. It is very difficult to decide whether a "free hour" on the schedule on the website (www.icradio.com/schedule.php<http://www.icradio.com/schedule.php>) is indeed "free". This is because it may be someone's allocated slot. People schedule their shows in different ways and sometimes leave the scheduling until the last few minutes before their show by which time somebody else has snapped up the free slot. This was an unforeseen problem in this system. So what I am proposing is: 1. YOU MUST SCHEDULE YOUR SHOW AT LEAST 2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ALLOCATED TIME! 2. IF YOU DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR SHOW, YOU RISK NOT BEING ABLE TO DO YOUR SHOW THAT WEEK. You won't lose your slot, just that week's show. 3. IF YOU SEE AN EMPTY SLOT 2 DAYS AHEAD DO NOT ASSUME IT IS FREE. If you want to do a show in an empty slot, email me a day ahead, do not try and schedule it in yourself. I will then email the people who's slot you will be taking for that week and see if it's OK. If I hear nothing back by the morning of the day that slot is, then it's yours for that week only. Stuck for something to do this afternoon? Got that feeling that sports isn't really for you? Well, head down to the IC Radio studio in Beit's West basement for the Flagship Show! It'll be on between 2:30 and 4 this afternoon, and we want you ALL to be involved because the show is about everyone getting together to make a great piece of radio. You could be reviewing music with the Music Team, reporting on the latest news around college, interviewing bands, or IC societies, even representing other societies on the show if you want. And then there's always the good old option of presenting (always great fun). Don't worry about just showing up with nothing prepared- there will certainly be something for you to do! In fact, please come! Who need sports on a Wednesday? See you there! Katie (Secretary, innit).
